The year is 1984 and everyone is gathered at St Egberts Hospital for women in Leeds for the opening of the new women's ward. Jeremy Backhand, MP is there to cut the ribbon along with Bill Bodgitt from Bodgitt & Sons builders, many of the doctors and nurses and of course the local press. Moments before the ceremony is due to begin, a loud scream is heard. The body of Dan D'eath, the young but eminent gynecologist, has been discovered in the boardroom.
